Our organization relies heavily on grants, donations and fundraisers to raise community awareness to recruit, train, and support CASA volunteers who impact the lives of abused and neglected children.
CASA stands for "Court Appointed Special Advocates." Judges appoint CASA volunteers to represent the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. The CASA volunteers make sure that the child does not get lost in the legal and social service system, or languish in a foster home. The same volunteer stays on the case until the child is placed in a safe permanent home. The local CASA organization serves Harvey and McPherson Counties.
Currently CASA: A Voice for Children, Inc. holds two major special events a year.
