Outreach Coordinator
General Description:
The Outreach Coordinator is a full-time, or part-time, hourly position. The primary responsibilities include recruitment, screening and training of volunteers related to the Child In Need of Care (CINC) program as well as outreach and awareness of the program in Harvey and McPherson Counties.

General Description:

Qualifications:
Education
- Preferred B.A. or B.S. degree in one of the following or related fields: Psychology, Social Work, Education, or Legal Assistance.
- Applicable work experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Volunteer Management, Teaching, Public Speaking, and working with Non-Profit Organizations preferred.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written skills are considered a priority.
- Must be a self-motivator.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with different types of personalities a must.
- Basic computer skills required.
Accountability:
- The Outreach Coordinator is hired by, and reports directly to the Executive Director.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and implement yearly volunteer recruitment strategy including but not limited to community presentations, attendance at community fairs, orientations, distribution of marketing information and maintaining a social media presence.
- Follow-up with initial inquiries (in-person, phone, or email) about volunteer opportunities.
- Serve as community liaison with partner organizations and other agencies to develop relationships.
- Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate pre-service volunteer training program.
- Organize a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education for volunteers annually.
- Coordinate qualified professionals to deliver required training and in-services when possible.
- Develop and utilize a variety of training delivery strategies and manage group dynamics.
- Maintain current knowledge of child welfare practices, laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain pre-service and in-service training calendars and provide notices of training sessions, registration process, and training requirements.
- Screen prospective volunteers and conduct personal interviews and evaluate applicant’s appropriateness for training and volunteer service.
- Maintain an attendance tracking and reporting system of trainee participation.
- Develop, implement and maintain a process to track volunteer certification.
- Other duties as assigned
